“It’s 2022, so it’s kind of a little play on the year,” said Alex Newman, who organized the 4/22 party on Drouillard Road.
“There are still some stigmas here and there, and a lot of questions.
Newman said he’s not allowed to sell food where cannabis is on offer, so he partnered with The Grand Cantina a couple doors down to handle the munchies.
“I just came by to check out what’s going on and enjoy some of the festivities,” said Craig Dumouchelle, who started using cannabis to replace addictive pharmaceuticals following a sports injury.
The whole point is kind of to sample a bunch of things, try different products and just engage in a social activity.
