At 36, Flacco, an Audubon native, is the oldest player on the roster.
“Joe has been great,” Johnson said Tuesday.
Flacco will be a sounding board for Hurts, as well as Johnson, during a campaign that’s been dubbed a “transition period” by ownership.
If Hurts fails to take the next step in his development during training camp, Flacco will give the Eagles a notable insurance policy.
