�We are seeing an increase in positive cases and in hospitalizations within Plymouth County which is similar to our neighboring counties, the state and the nation,� Geddes said.
�It�s tough when you look at the website and it looks like we�re doing really well, but you don�t see that since Wednesday, we�ve had a lot more cases than we had in the previous six weeks.
�I don�t think there�s one particular thing that�s driving it,� Geddes said.
�We know that the Delta variant, throughout the state of Iowa and the nation, is the primary source of COVID right now,� Geddes said.
Our concern is, with the Delta variant that is circulating, it does seem to be impacting children much more than the regular, initial COVID-19 strains that were out there.
�We really want to encourage people that if you are unsure what you want to do, or before making a decision, that you make a decision based on reliable sources,� Geddes said.
