Earlier this month, the Guinness World Records declared a two-year-old chihuahua named Pearl as the world’s smallest dog.
It is interesting to note that Pearl is the relative of Miracle Milly, a chihuahua who previously held the world record for being the world’s smallest dog.
As per the Guinness World Records guidelines, the Pearl’s measurements were taken from the base of her front foot up to the top of the withers in a vertical line.
In May last year, the Guinness World Records announced Zeus, a two-year-old American Great Dane, as the world’s tallest dog living and lives with the Davis family in Bedford, a city in Texas, US.
