As was planned for 2020 when the pandemic intervened, the new Tom Patterson Theatre will finally have its grand reopening with Shakespeare’s “Richard III.” It will be coupled with “All’s Well That Ends Well.” The two plays began the Stratford Festival in 1953.
The 2021 season provided a lifeline for some arts workers and local businesses, with 274 performances attracting almost 34,000 visitors and employing 968 people, the festival said.
