On Tuesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up by over 300 points as investors anticipate yet another slew of high-profile corporate earnings this week.

Following the stock market opening on Tuesday, the S&P 500, Dow, and Nasdaq are trading lower at 0.79%, 0.89%, and 0.71% respectively.

This could push the Federal Reserve to increase the size of its interest rate hikes as it tries to control inflation.
