While Stagecoach is known for being a country festival, it has crossed over with rock since its early years, from having the Eagles and Kid Rock headline the Mane Stage to bringing in artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gregg Allman and Bret Michaels of Poison to play big sets at the Palomino Tent, the festival’s second largest stage.
Like its sister event on the same site, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Stagecoach was forced to cancel in April 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Headliners for the 2020 edition of the festival were to be Underwood, Rhett and Eric Church, the latter of whom is not on the list for 2022.
However, a new addition to the festival is the Compton Cowboys, a group of Black cowboys who have a ranch in Compton.
Another addition for 2022 is that Stagecoach will be streamed live as part of a new partnership between festival producer Goldenvoice and YouTube, according to a press release about the festival from the concert promoter.
