Veterans in vulnerable subgroups are at a higher risk of developing cannabis use disorder use, according to a new study from researchers at Pennsylvania’s Center of Excellence in Substance Addiction Treatment and Education at the Corporal Michael J.
Researchers examined information from a total of 3,119 respondents who identified themselves as American military veterans gleaned from the 2012–2013 National Epidemiologic Survey on Alcohol and Related Conditions–III .
The results indicate the prevalence of CUD and adult cannabis use over the past twelve months to be 1.8 per cent and 7.3 per cent, respectively, whereas lifetime prevalence clocked in at 5.7 per cent and 32.5 per cent.
