Frates was married to Pete Frates, former Boston College athlete who inspired Ice Bucket Challenge while battling ALS.
“Pete and I tried medical marijuana and the difference was night and day,” Frates said.
“We are extremely fortunate to have Julie Frates and Michelle L’Heureux on our ‘I Cannabis’ team, and we thank them for their bravery,” said Patrik Jonsson, Curaleaf northeast president.
Although it’s Massachusetts-based, Curaleaf currently operates in 23 states.
