The New England Patriots have a lot to feel good about after their 27-24 road win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
In those games, New England was unable to seal the deal and come away victoriously.
“We’re still making mistakes — we didn’t play a perfect game — but we’re just overcoming some of those small mistakes.
As Judon noted, the Patriots did not play a mistake-free game versus the Chargers.
The Patriots still kept the game close, however, before finally pulling away after an Adrian Phillips pick-six in the fourth quarter.
We’ve been close with everybody, it’s time to be on the other side of it,” punt returner Gunner Olszewski noted.
While the game in Los Angeles saw the Patriots play catch-up early on, it turned into a constant back-and-forth in the second half.
“Great teams win the close games, and we need to keep stringing these along,” Phillips said after the game.
We want to be a team that plays 60 minutes, or even longer, however long we have to play to get the job done.
