DETROIT — Friday was a full day for musician Jack White.
White, 46, who was born in Detroit, performed at the Masonic Temple Theatre in his hometown to kick off his Supply Chain Issues Tour, the Detroit Free Press reported.
Jack White released a new album today, played the Nat’l Anthem at Opening Day for the Tigers and then kicked off his new tour at the Masonic Temple where he got engaged on stage & then married.
“Jack White just proposed to his girlfriend, Olivia Jean, on stage at the Masonic Temple during the opening night of his Supply Chain Issues tour,” Adam Graham of the Detroit News tweeted.
The couple’s respective bass players were the best man and maid of honor, while members of their families, including White’s mother, Teresa Gillis, stood as witnesses, according to the newspaper.
Until Friday, White and Jean’s relationship had been a secret, and it is unclear how long they have been dating, New Musical Express reported.
