How concerned are Mets about Marcus Stroman’s injury?

But after manager Luis Rojas and a trainer jogged out to the mound to check on the right hander, Stroman threw a couple warmup pitches, and the decision seemed obvious.

Stroman was lifted from Tuesday’s 3-0 loss to the Atlanta Braves in the second inning to left hip soreness, and the Mets are still in the process of determining the severity of the issue.

“One of the pitches, he landed and he felt that he hyperextended a little bit, so he started getting sore,” Rojas said.

“I saw a lot of his innings along with the other guys that were there, and then I got to know him in camp, he came in and he threw a few innings for us.
