Hip-hop is a family business for this father and his sons

Beyond his experience and expertise guiding the brothers through the recording of their debut EP, DJ U-Neek, which is the stage name of Los Angeles native Tim Middleton, is also their father.

“I idolize him, that’s my pops.

“They keep me in the rap game, I love seeing them blossoming as men and they’re sounding great,” said the veteran producer.

“The sound is a mix of what’s happening today with my traditional sound, what I’m known for, the Bone sound.

That led to producing for the label, with his most notable gig as co-producer for several Bone Thugs-N-Harmony albums, which earned him a Grammy nomination for his work on  the “E.

That’s when my pops started the whole Bone Thugs thing and that’s when I met them,” the younger Tim Middleton said.

“They’ve taken the right route, taken my advice and doing life a lot better than I did.
