The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Google and Microsoft all set records in sales and profits and “recorded revenue growth near or above fastest pace in years.” The New York Times calls the growth “bonkers.” In its recent reporting, the publication says 4 big tech giant’s combined revenue of $1.2 trillion for the quarter, a spike of more than 25% since the pandemic took hold.
CTV News says Peel Region’s medical officer of health issued a section 22 order last month that would require the closure of workplaces with five or more recent cases of COVID-19 for 10 days in a bid to stem the spread of the virus.
Multiple media reports over the past week cited Microsoft Amazon, the FBI and the UK’s National Crime Agency as among those in a coalition making dozens of recommendations to governments, businesses, schools and hospitals.
