The NTU Green Academy provides expertise in Education for Sustainable Development .
The Green Academy team offers bespoke consultancy for individual academics, module and course teams to integrate ESD and the SDGs into the curriculum and to develop the scholarship of all academics with regards to ESD.
The Green Academy, now a permanent department, works in collaboration with and with support from a variety of other departments at NTU.
Petra was responsible for developing the Sustainability in Practice Certificate, an internal online course offered to all 32.000 students at NTU.
As Professor of Sustainable Management and Education for Sustainable Development at Nottingham Business School, Petra acted as Sustainability Coordinator, responsible for embedding sustainability and business ethics into the curriculum of the business school.
Petra is the editor of The Business Student’s Guide to Sustainable Management, offering seminars and other teaching material in how to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals in accounting, marketing, HR and other subjects in management / business studies.
In 2017, Petra reconceptualised the Sustainable Development Assessment Tool for NHS England, integrating the SDGs into the tool.
Helen is a research officer in the Occupational Development team at NTU where she gained her MSc in Social Science Research Methods.
She works in collaboration with senior management and teaching staff in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment, the School of Arts and Humanities, Nottingham Law School and the School of Social Sciences.
Before joining the Green Academy team as an ESD Coordinator, Vanessa worked for Hubbub Foundation and Change Agents UK, specialising in behaviour change projects in food sustainability.
