While the regular season starts April 7, fans will flood Great American Ballpark on April 12 for the Reds’ home opener against the Cleveland Guardians.
“Could’ve been on a Friday, would’ve been hard for us with the amount of business we do on the weekend.
“Big weight off our shoulders,” said Victor Visciani, manager of Holy Grail Tavern & Grille.
Technically, the Reds will not be in Cincinnati on Opening Day April 7, marking only the second time the team will start the season on the road.
