This season’s marketplace, which opened on Thursday, expands from 124 Street to 125 Street along 108 Avenue to allow for more physical space between the roughly 60 vendors and shoppers.
On May 4, the province brought in stronger public health measures including prohibiting in-person dining, but market founder Kirsta Franke said the new restrictions didn’t impact them that much.
Last year the province deemed the market essential, allowing it to continue to operate amid the pandemic.
“We would probably be celebrating things a little differently with our 10-year anniversary in front of us,” Franke said.
