The BIA said its Christmas market was singled out for innovation and creativity.
“We are honoured to be receiving this esteemed award,” BIA board chair Ron Charbonneau said in a news release.
BIA board vice-chair Eddy Pybus called the award “inspiring” for the BIA, which faced criticism from some of the downtown merchants last year over the BIA substantially increasing its budget in late 2020.
