The 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties, better known as COP26, began in the United Kingdom yesterday.
These conferences are organised under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, or UNFCCC, an international treaty agreed to in 1992.

According to Laveesh Bhandari, Senior Fellow, CSEP, the main challenges for India will be the pressure to declare net-zero date and reduce the use of coal.
