In March, Vallely, lead singer for legendary punk group Black Flag, told the Des Moines Register that Iowa’s capital had for a long time been on his mental list of potential places to move to.
In the video, posted on the Partnership’s social media accounts, Vallely is seen performing tricks at the new Lauridsen Skatepark, a $6.1 million project on the Des Moines riverfront that has quickly became an international attraction.
“Now there are things that California offers that just can’t be replicated,” Vallely says as the video shows him performing various board maneuvers.
