In week 9 of the 2021 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers will travel to the edge of the great plains to play the Kansas City Chiefs after nine days of rest.
The Chiefs host the New York Giants this evening, another sub-.500 team but one that came in with far lower expectations than those placed on the two-time defending AFC champions.
The Chiefs’ defense, meanwhile, ranks among the worse in the NFL in every notable category, sitting 27th or worse in points allowed, yards allowed, net yards per pass attempt, yards per rush, third down conversion rate, and red zone touchdown rate.
Thus, it’s entirely possible that a Giants team that is in the bottom half of the league in most every statistic could be able to keep tonight’s game close.
