Auburn’s Bryan Harsin offers distinct perspective on SEC’s addition of Texas, Oklahoma

Bryan Harsin, pictured here in 2011, spent two seasons as offensive coordinator at Texas.

I don’t know all the details of it, but we’re going to welcome them in, and we’ll certainly be seeing them like we have already on the recruiting trail and things like that.

A day later, the two programs formally applied for membership with the SEC, with the league extending an official invitation — behind a unanimous vote from the league’s presidents and chancellors — on July 29.

“Being a part of it right now and knowing that change was going to happen at some point — and I think we all felt that way — this is a part of it,” Harsin said.
