This committee will be tasked with developing recommendations to simplify the biennial process of setting undergraduate tuition and fees, ensuring more transparency for students around the rates, and finding ways to minimize overall costs of attendance for students.
While this lets institutions consider the level of state funding when determining tuition and fees, Whitten has heard feedback about the opaque nature of the process as she’s met with students and parents.
Co-chairs include Rahul Shrivastav, executive vice president and IU Bloomington provost; Andy Klein, interim executive vice president and IUPUI chancellor; and Sue Sciame-Giesecke, incoming vice president for regional campuses and online education.
