January home sales down but Chatham-Kent housing market remains strong | Chatham This Week

The 102 homes sold through the MLS system of the Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors is 3.8 per cent lower than in January 2021.

Homes fetched an average price of $457,160 last month, a spike of 26.5 per cent from January 2021.

Active residential listings numbered 62 units on the market at the end of January, a moderate decrease of three listings from the end of January 2021.

Months of inventory numbered 0.6 at the end of January, unchanged from what was recorded at the end of January 2021 and below the long-run average of 4.7 months for this time of year.
