Kate Middleton and Prince William Took a Secret Trip to Jordan This Year

Kate Middleton and Prince William usually take family photos for their Christmas card at Anmer Hall, their country home on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

According to a statement from Kensington Palace, the Cambridge family took a previously unannounced trip to the Middle Eastern country at some point during 2021.

While her father, Michael Middleton, was employed at British Airways in the early 1980s, Kate lived in Amman for a few years during nursery school, and in 2011, the family shared a photo of Kate with Michael and her sister, Pippa Middleton, at the country’s ancient ruins of Jerash.

As they did in 2020, they visited the Isles of Scilly off the coast of Cornwall, and in August they joined Queen Elizabeth and a handful of other family members at the Balmoral Estate in Scotland.

“The kids were all running in and out of the water with their dog and spent hours playing in the sand,” the source said.

In a speech, the duchess reflected on the meaning of Christmas during the pandemic.
