First two stops of Dave Chappelle’s tour offer tantalizing hints about Des Moines show

Taking the stage to screen his “Untitled” documentary at the Twin Cities’ Target Center, he was joined by Justin Bieber and Usher, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported.

There had been a similar lineup, though slightly less high-caliber star power, in San Francisco, the first stop of Chappelle’s 11-city tour.

Adam Flack, marketing director for the Iowa Events Center, said Monday he wasn’t sure who Chappelle’s guests might be, and the organizers of Chappelle’s tour did not return a reporter’s repeated messages.

In the former, the Star-Tribune said he thanked the city for the way it responded to the killing of George Floyd.

But the star of the show, according to reviews, was his new 2 1/2-hour documentary.

The San Francisco show reportedly sold out.
