It was a wild game from start to finish.
Gostisbehere got the puck up to Antoine Roussel, who came in with speed and fired the puck past Philipp Grubauer to reduce the Coyotes’ deficit to one.
Fischer elected to pass the puck to Travis Boyd on the side of the net, who redirected it home and reduced the Kraken’s lead to one.
The Coyotes had to kill a late Ben McCartney high-sticking penalty, but the second period ended with the Coyotes down by one, with twenty minutes left in regulation.
It was early in the Coyotes’ power play, and they had been doing an excellent job at moving the puck around and finding space.
Of course, this is the Coyotes we are talking about, so things couldn’t be that easy.
But just 13 seconds later, Johan Larsson would pick up the puck behind the Kraken’s net again and send a centering pass up to a streaking Crouse.
After game after game, where the team’s offense had completely dried up, it was great to see the Coyotes dig deep and come back and win the game.
Arizona is in the early stages of a rebuild and focused more on the draft, leading to a poorer product on the ice.
