California-based cannabis company Papa & Barkley has announced the creation of its new Sleep Releaf Collection, which is a line of cannabis-infused sleep aids the company says is guaranteed to deliver consumers one more hour of sleep per night.
The new line of cannabis-infused sleep aids infuses its Sleep Releaf Products with a formula of CBD intended to aid with relaxation, THC intended to enhance comfort, and solventless-derived CBN, which is intended to provide sedative effects to help consumers fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up feeling refreshed.
Mitch Earleywine, PhD, a professor at SUNY Albany and member of the Papa & Barkley Scientific Advisory Board, helped the brand conduct its home use test states.
We stayed true to our whole plant ethos when creating our Sleep Releaf collection because we believe in true plant medicine and know consumers deserve an effective, plant-based sleep solution.
IHUT background: Recognizing the importance of effective sleep aids that do not cause harmful side effects, Papa & Barkley conducted the first California-based at-home product test on a CBN-infused sleep product.
CBN is a minor cannabinoid known for its sedative effects and found in aged cannabis or cannabis exposed to heat and light; during the aging process THC converts into CBN.
That’s because when aged or exposed to heat and light, THC can convert into CBN, a minor cannabinoid known for its sedative effects.
At Papa & Barkley we’re firm believers that the plant works synergistically, meaning when the plant is kept intact all its compounds work together to provide maximum therapeutic benefits.
Many Americans struggle to get quality sleep yet we know that sleep is a core pillar of good health; when we’re able to sleep better we improve our overall wellness.
