First ‘green & safe highway’ partly funded by World Bank to be built in Rajasthan by year end

In December last year, the Government of India had signed an agreement for a $500 million project with the World Bank, to develop the GNHCP across 781 km in four states – Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

“Neither the National Highways Authority of India nor any state PWD is involved in the execution of this project”, explained the above-mentioned official.
