Spanning eight half-hour episodes, “Amy Learns To…” watches Schumer step out of her comfort zone and into someone’s by learning a new skill, craft or trade from a local expert in her husband’s hometown on Martha’s Vineyard.
All while getting ready for the birth of her first-born son, she continued touring in preparation for her Netflix stand-up special, “Amy Schumer: Growing.” The series captured her suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a rare condition that involves constant vomiting, dehydration and nausea, which led to the partial cancellation of the tour.
Industrial Media’s The Intellectual Property Corporation will produce, with Schumer, Kevin Kane, Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman serving as executive producers.
Schumer is also in the middle of working on “Life & Beth,” an upcoming comedy series part of her first-look deal with Hulu that is set to debut sometime this year.
