The Miami Heat were in desperate need of help this season in a few areas.
Getting mauled on the glass, in the paint, and right at the rim, at times, the Miami Heat were eventually forced to do something.
On April 8th of this past year, the Miami Heat brought in seven-year NBA veteran, Dewayne Dedmon.
He was an integral part of what the Miami Heat did coming down the stretch, though in short spurts.
In just 13.1 minutes played and across just 16 games with the Miami Heat, Dedmon averaged 7.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game on over 70 percent shooting from the field.
Here’s the thing though, few of these guys have the motor that Dewayne Dedmon displayed for Miami this season during his time.
The Miami Heat should do all they can to bring him back and with some of the other names on the market, there are two positives to potentially getting it done.
There will be suitors but, again, the Miami Heat should be able to get it done.
