Terance Mann scores 39 as LA Clippers erase 25-point deficit, make first Western Conference finals

LOS ANGELES — Patrick Beverley, Terance Mann and Marcus Morris Sr.

The Clippers, who trailed by 22 at the half, completed the largest halftime comeback in a series-clinching win in NBA history, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.

Starting for the second straight game for an injured Kawhi Leonard, Mann delivered the game of his life, scoring 39 points and hitting 7 of 10 3-pointers for the Clippers.

They trailed 2-0 to Utah but won four straight after that to become the first team in NBA history to overcome multiple 2-0 series deficits in a single postseason.

Facing elimination, Mitchell shook off the injury early and scored 16 points in the first quarter on an array of dazzling drives to the basket to go with three 3-pointers.

Utah pushed the lead up to 75-50, but Mann wouldn’t let the Clippers fold.

LA outscored the Jazz 40-25 in the fourth, and the party was well underway when coach Ty Lue took out his starters with 37.9 seconds remaining.
