Devonte Watts, 26, of Gainesville, was charged with one count of aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and discharge of firearms within 50 yards of a highway, according to Jackson County Sheriff’s Office online booking records.
According to a news release by the Jefferson police, witnesses told officers that Watts drove up to the drive-thru and ordered food.
The argument continued and the employee went outside to the drive-thru to confront the customer, police said.
