All hospitals have ‘green light’ for visitation — first time during pandemic

The system, developed by the New Jersey Hospital Association and adopted by hospitals statewide, reflects trends in COVID activity, including new cases and hospitalizations — both of which are declining.

“This is a very welcome milestone for patients and their loved ones,” NJHA CEO Cathy Bennett said.

Hospital visitation was suspended when COVID first arrived in New Jersey in March 2020.

New Jersey has been at level yellow for the past several weeks, which limits visitors to one at a time.
