I will say that the current green-watch trend is out of control, as documented by Cole in a great piece during Watches and Wonders.
This comes just one month after TAG released a different green watch: The Monaco Green Dial in celebration of the Gran Prix De Monaco Historique.
You might recognize the case design here because its one we’ve seen the brand use a lot with its Heuer Carrera vintage-inspired pieces.
The watch pays direct homage to the vintage Heuer reference 2447, sharing most of its styling including a domed sapphire crystal.
Interestingly, though there is no vintage green Heuer Carrera, the teal hue feels very mid-century.
All of which is to say that, despite being the latest entrant into the green watch fray, this particular watch feels more intentional – more thoughtful.
