Sub-Inspector Karamjit Kaur, investigating officer, said the victim, a resident of Kharar, had lodged a complaint with the Mohali SSP on July 15 last year that she was known to the suspect.
On December 14, 2016, the suspect took her to a temple in Chandigarh and solemnised marriage with her.
