10 Reasons why Eugene is vital to The Walking Dead season 11

When we were first introduced to Eugene back in season 4, it’s fair to say he was a world away from where he is now.

Season 11 begins on August 22, for UK viewers August 23, and will consist of 24 episodes broken into three parts and will ultimately lead to the final episode ever.

His radio calls from his solo man AV club at Hilltop, with Stephanie, have led to this point and to ‘Saving The Future Hope Mankind.’ Even though it has led to his, Yumiko, Princess and Ezekiel’s kidnap, if anyone can wiggle their way out of this – it’s Eugene.

From the awful train carts at Terminus – to Daryl and Rosita’s kidnapping of the bullet maker himself from the Sanctuary, Eugene is no stranger to danger.

They talked via radio for a while before their arranged meet-up when Eugene’s bike fall sadly made him and the group fall late to their date.

Should they ask about work, which is pretty likely considering how the Commonwealth works and would match to the system they run by in the comics, this can be a beacon of light to Eugene’s safety and hopeful safety of the rest of his group.

Their love triangle with Gabriel and Saddiq broke Eugene’s heart and has been a strong reason why Eugene is where he is now.

If he can grow and ‘Assimilate’ with other communities, then maybe the Commonwealth can be a perfect new ally and make the bold voyage worthwhile.
